17 Case Scenario Mrs. Jones is an 89 yr old male who was admitted with pneumonia. He has complained that his throat and mouth are very dry. The nurse notes that he has a temperature of 101 and has dry mucous membranes. He is allowed to drink, but does not want to bother the nurse for fresh water. His urine output is low as well.
