4. Description of the Series
The Series complements existing IEEE VT-S letter, journal and magazine publications.
The Series will play a key role in the IEEE VT-S industry engagement strategy.
Any topic within IEEE VT-S Field of Interest fall within the scope of the series.
IEEE VT-S Field of Interest (abridged): Land, airborne, maritime mobile communications. Vehicular electro-technology, automotive industry systems. Traction power, signals, control systems.

5. Description of the Series
Books will fall into two general categories: professional development books and textbooks.
Potential for cooperation/collaboration with several other IEEE Societies with related interests.

6. IEEE/Wiley Expectations
We will produce 1-2 books per year.
We will promote the books to our members through publications, conferences and newsletters.
IEEE/Wiley will offer a 2% royalty to IEEE VT-S on books sold.

7. Goals – 2013/14
Our overarching goal is to attract prospective authors and submit book proposals.
Once the first few books appear, interest and progress will accelerate.
