The Process The Rootstown BOE began this process more than a year ago:
Partnered with architectural firm (GPD Group) and financial consulting firm (Rockmill Financial) Community Survey Community Meetings Established Community Committees Community Committees presented the BOE with recommendations BOE reviewed recommendations and decided ballot issue

Options Considered by Community Committees Committees met from October 2016 - May 2017
Continue to maintain current buildings Renovate and remodel on current site New construction on or off-site Investigated all available, buildable lots in Rootstown Funding Options considered included: Property Tax Earned Income Tax State funds (OFCC) 41% JEDD Personalized Learning Environment (to continue to be competitive after high school) ADA Accessibility Auditorium Athletic Facilities

Total Project Cost: $41, 375,175 OFCC Grant: $16,963,822 LFI Costs: $7,023,916 Total Local Costs: $31,435,269 Earned Income Tax: .50% Bond Millage (37 Yrs): 3.95 Mills
