7 WMO RCCs and RCOFs in RA II
NEACOF (2013~) (2011~) EASCOF (2013~) (2009~) SASCOF FOCRAII (2005~) (2010~) There are 3 RCCs in RA II. The dedicated portal site of RCC in RA II has established in cooperation with these RCCs. This portal site enables users to easily access products of each RCC and Information on relevant meetings, workshops and training seminars/courses. Capacity Development BCC’s training The International Seminar on Climate System and Climate Change (ISCS) is sponsored by China Meteorological Administration (CMA), co-sponsored by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA), WMO Regional Training Center Nanjing and CMA Training Center and hosted by Beijing Climate Center (BCC), annually held on the second half of July. TCC’s training TCC holds annual training seminars as part of capacity development activities related to its role as an RCC in the WMO RA II since 2008. 9 RA II Pilot Project on Information Sharing on Climate Services
RAII Members To collect and share information on climate services provided by NMHSs as well as good practices in RA II in the application of climate information to various fields, such as agriculture and water management. 11 Operational Agromet Advisory Services
Agromet bulletins are prepared in different forms in various countries because of independent observational methods. Out of 34 Member counties in RA II, 14 countries informed that they were furnished with an agrometeorological service, which issued agrometeorological bulletins. 12 Dissemination of agrometeorological information
Department of Agriculture in Cambodia is issues bulletin based on the climate and seasonal weather forecast of the area or province. They also advice the farmers on the type of crop/variety to plant based on the forecast (drought, floods, delayed/early rainy season, etc.). Agromet advisories in India are being communicated to the farmers through multi-channel dissemination system like mobile, Radio, TV, Newspaper including dissemination Kisan Portal ( launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, other PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode via SMS and IVR (Interactive Voice Response Technology). At present mobile service is restricted to about 19.4 million farmers out of about 94 million farmers’ families. RECO-7 in RA II, Abu Dhabi, UAE, February, 2017

Various capacity development programs have been organized in different countries like Short term courses Training Courses at WMO Regional Training Centre Participation in International Seminars, Scientific conferences Short duration course on “Agrometeorology” for foreign trainees was conducted at Agrimet Division, Pune during 9-20 May 2016, Pune.
