2. Stone Ages
Before the Mesolithic age was the Paleolithic Age, known as the Old Stone Age
After the Paleolithic age came the Mesolithic Age, known as the Middle Stone Age
After the Mesolithic Age came the Neolithic age, known as the New Stone Age
We are going to cover advances made in the Mesolithic and Neolithic Ages as they relate to the way people live

3. Mesolithic Advances Taming of the dog, which helped when hunting
Tools such as the bow and arrow, fishhooks, fish spears and harpoons were created using bones and antlers
Crafted dugout canoes by hollowing out logs. This allowed fishing in deep water and crossing rivers

5. Neolithic Advances Made weapons using many kinds of stone and wood
Discovered ways to polish or grind tools to better specialize them
People began to settle permanent villages, leaving a nomadic lifestyle
Developed methods of agriculture/farming and domestication of pigs, sheep, cattle, etc
