4. Purpose:
The purpose of tonight’s activity is to provide an overview of key topics relating to diversity and your roles as leaders.
Another purpose is to give you the opportunity to think deeply about your own views on diversity, your own responsibilities, and to select an area related to this topic that you would like to do some more in-depth research on.
The final assignment for this class involves writing a paper on a diversity topic of your choice that is well-grounded in research literature.

This clip runs for about 9+ minutes. It presents a number of current issues in the US that may or may not relate to diversity. What I’d like you to draw from this clip is the process the ‘Freakonomics’ authors use to problem solve.
