7. Noise “interferes with a message, usually temporary”
Internal: Thoughts or feelings that interfere with the communicator (daydreaming, sleepy, cold, ill, etc.) External: distraction in the channel/physical environment (smells, sights, sounds, constant talking, etc.)

8. Barrier Any obstacle that blocks communication
Internal – within the communicator (prejudices, bias, etc.) External – exists everywhere else (different language, non-verbal’s are different, distance)
