Wales is a country with a very varied landscape, from the cliffs of the Pembrokeshire Coast, to the peaks of Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons. In fact, these are all three of Wales’ National Parks.
These National Parks are marked in pink on this map. Cardiff, the capital of Wales, is also labelled.
Fun Fact: Wales has one of the longest place names in the world: Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch! Phew, that was a mouthful!

The City centre is mix of new and old. The part Roman, part Norman, part Victorian Castle stands next to the modern Millennium Stadium and modern high street shops and malls are interlaced with old Victorian and Edwardian arcades

8. Landmarks / Tirnodau Contents
Mount Snowdon is Wales’ tallest mountain. It is the 2nd tallest in the UK. Many people climb up it each year and the views it provides are stunning. It is in Snowdonia National Park.
The Wales Millennium Centre is a huge theatre and is made from all welsh materials. It is in Cardiff Bay.
