3 Growth Mindset Group Activity
We will read the article together. When we finish, you will individually answer this question on your sticky note: “What can you say instead of ‘I can’t do this’? Why is this a better choice?

4 Group Work Put your sticky note in one corner of your group’s paper.
Take turns sharing the answers you came up with. Work together to come up with ONE good answer that includes everyone’s thoughts. The person sitting in desk #2 will be writing this answer down. When finished, sit quietly and read. We will have time to share our answers.

Who is the main character? What are some traits of the main character? What is the problem that the main character faces in the story? How is the problem solved in the story? What lesson does the character learn? What is the author trying to tell you?

13 Let’s practice You will be using the story “the bad case of the stripes.” We will listen to the story, and then you will fill out your sheet. Keep your paper on your desk when finished and read SSR.
