Procedures Mrs. Lee 4th Grade

1. Helpers: I will choose helpers based on students that I see being responsible.

2. Morning Procedures: Walk into the classroom quietly.
Have homework ready to be checked. Sharpen pencils. Place book bag in the back of the room. Take morning work out. Begin morning work. Read quietly when work is done.

3. Classroom Behavior: As a “team”, your class will get a chance to earn stars. Once 10 stars are earned, your class will get to choose from the following rewards: extra recess, popcorn party, snow cone party, extra computer time, game time, etc.

4. Classroom Rules: A. Be considerate to others. B. Follow directions.
C. Listen carefully. D. Raise your hand to speak. E. Respect other’s rights and property.

5. Consequences: Consequences: Daily behavior will be noted in agenda. Please initial daily. A STAR stamp indicates a great day. # 1 indicates that student was given a positive redirection. # 2 indicates that a private verbal warning was given. # 3 indicates the loss of a privilege. #4 indicates that a parent contact was made due to repeated misbehavior. #5 indicates an office referral given to an administrator. 5 4 3 2 1

6. Incentives: Classroom stars, individual STAR signatures verbal and non-verbal praise, individual class coupons, positive phone call or note to parent .

7. Homework: HW is given on a daily basis with the exception of Fridays, holidays, and PTO nights. If there is an important reason that you do not have your homework, a note from a parent must be brought in. * Not completing nor turning in your HW will result in a negative impact on your grades for all subjects.

8. Agendas: You are responsible for writing homework assignment into your agenda on a daily basis. Parents must initial daily.

9. Parent/Teacher Communication Folders:
All important papers will be sent in a folder labeled “Communication Folder”. You are responsible for bringing this folder back to school. The folder will stay in class when not in use. Graded papers will go home most Thursdays. Progress reports will go home on the last Thursday of each month.

10. Class work/Test: All class work must be completed during class time. If it is not completed nor returned by the end of the day, you will receive a grade of zero; unless teacher allows you extra time. If you turn an assignment in late, I will deduct 10 points for that assignment.

11. No name/number on paper:
Please remember to put your name/number on ALL of your papers you turn in. Please remember to put your name/number All papers without a name/number will be disposed of and you will receive a zero or 10 points will be deducted from grade.

12. Notes: You will be expected to write notes and are responsible for keeping up with your notes. You will sometimes be allowed to use your notes on tests. Keeping up with your notebooks is very important.

13. Make-up work: If you miss a day from school, you must make-up any assignments you missed. A doctor’s note does not excuse work you have missed in class. You are responsible to turn your make-up work as soon as possible. If you do not turn you work in, you will receive a grade of zero for every assignment not turned in.

14. Snacks: You will be allowed to bring in a daily healthy snack for yourself such as a granola bar, a piece of fruit, crackers, or fruit snacks. You may also bring a water bottle. No soft drinks, fruit juice, or Gatorade please.

15. Tests: Tests will be given throughout the week. We will let you know in advance.

Share with your parents:
Please review the rules and procedures with your parent. Have your parent and yourself sign below and return the bottom portion to school. Keep the top portion for future reference. We look forward to a wonderful and exciting school year with you! Love, Mrs. Lee
