J. Kleijnen, D. Dolmans, J. Willems and H. van Hout, Effective quality management requires a systematic approach and a flexible organizational culture: a qualitative study among academic staff, Quality in Higher Education 20(1), 2014, Excerpt: “flexible organizational culture allows for exchange of ideas and innovation, while management creates order” This workshop: Speed-dating for innovative educational ideas!

5 How to challenge your course!
Join 3 (or 2) teachers in a group – preferably people with whom you have never talked before! Each teacher has 12 minutes for the course challenge (3x12 min = 36 min) Consider one of your courses – pitch it in 2 min to the others (name, year, type of students, main goals, issues to discuss?) Let the others steer the discussion, ask questions and i) suggest ideas and solutions to your issues ii) suggest new learning activities in your course iii) suggest how to investigate your course iv) write down the ideas and evaluate them tomorrow!
