MAP - Proposals 7/1/2018 12:43 PM www.microsoft.com/MAP
For example, if you are interested in migrating your existing servers to Windows Server 2008 but are unsure about which ones can be migrated (i.e. will meet the minimum if not the recommended hardware requirements “bar”), you can get the answers with MAP. MAP generates a professional set of proposals in Microsoft Word so the Business Decision Makers can have a solid overview of the readiness of the IT infrastructure for the specific OS migration or virtualization effort. However, getting the high-level assessment view is not enough. © 2007 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Customer/User Feedback
7/1/ :43 PM Customer/User Feedback “[Results from the auto-generated readiness reports] saved us more than U.S.$20,000; we just need to upgrade the memory and hard drives for many of our clients. The cost of upgrades is much cheaper than replacing an entire computer.” Kathy Lin, IT Manager of Sporton International, Inc., Microsoft Customer in Taiwan “Because of the tool’s recommendations, CHS decided not to replace all of its computers as originally planned. By replacing only half of the computers, the company reduced hardware costs, originally budgeted at $76,000, by 50 percent.” Sumeeth Evans, Collegiate Housing Services, Microsoft Customer in U.S. Here are some of the quotes of corporate customers and Microsoft Partners who have used MAP to save hardware costs and speed up deployments. “Unlike other tools in the market, this tool offers fast, secure and agent-less assessment for hardware and device compatibility in a matter of hours instead of days. …our recommended tool for our sales force to generate demand for Windows Vista deployments...” David Feng, Systex Corporation, Gold Certified Partner in Taiwan © 2007 Microsoft Corporation.
