YOUTH Employment- and -Inclusion Policies
Youth Guarantees: Right to individual assistance aimed at Education or Work Unemployed/School dropopouts aged & (25-29) More targeted programs: ”New Chance” for Immigrants / Refugees "New Possibilities" to help school dropouts finnish school ”Qualification program” for social cash beneficiaries Mental Health and Work Program. Job strategy for disabled young people (< 30) A lot of local pilot projects Developing improved measures and methods - and more systematic evaluations

Effects of Youth Employment Promotion in the Nordic Countries (+ Ger, NL, UK) A forthcoming comparative analyses 2016 Education and the education system is important – especially vocational education Youth Guaranties seem to have weak/uncertain effects Active Labour Market Policies play an important role Wage subsidies and on-the job training programs seem to have the most positive effects The positive effects seem to increase over time Public work and sheltered employment /training seem to have the uncertain or even negative effects There are great variations in documented outcomes and effects
