gtPathways Curriculum Statewide Transfer Articulation Agreements / Degrees with Designation Pre-Engineering Transfer Agreements Transfer Guides Into any baccalaureate degree RN to BSN

4 Prior Learning Assessment (PLA)
Credit Applied to Gen Ed & Electives Standard, statewide cut scores for AP, IB, CLEP & DSST exams Test-out exams for all Gen Ed categories Portfolio Assessment Credit Applied to Major Institutions set cut scores for AP, IB, CLEP & DSST based on student success data Fees, Reporting, Transcripting & Communicating

5 Math Pathways Gateway math course based on meta major (a group of programs with similar core requirements) Connect meta major to pathways and programs of study: CalcPath – STEM and majors that require Calculus StatPath – often Social & Behavioral Sciences QuanThinkingPath – often Arts & Humanities Advisors help student select appropriate math for pathway. College Algebra should not be the default math course.

6 Dual Enrollment (Concurrent Enrollment)
Students encouraged to enroll in: gtPathways courses Appropriate gateway math course: Career and Technical Education (Cert, AGS, AAS) Math for the Liberal Arts – Arts & Humanities Introduction to Statistics – Soc/Behav Sciences College Algebra – STEM, Business, other Will apply to intended degree/certificate (ICAP!)

7 Co-Requisite Dev Ed (aka Supplemental Academic Instruction or SAI)
The old model of remedial ed doesn’t work. Students with “limited academic deficiency” get placed into credit-bearing English & Math with SAI. It works! Ask: Aims, CCCS, MSU Denver, FLC, WSCU & UNC. Eventually will need to add Math sub-scores to CCHE Remedial Policy.

8 Guaranteed Transfer Admissions
New statewide Admission Policy begins fall 2019 Changes include guaranteed admission to transfer students who meet following criteria: Completion of an AA/AS from Colorado CC Meets four-year college minimum GPA No grade below a C Community College is last institution attended

9 Guaranteed Transfer Admissions
There are always exclusions! Will not apply to Colorado School of Mines Will not guarantee admission to specific programs University of Colorado also requires completion of MAPS Other standard admission exclusions (i.e. criminal/disciplinary past, etc.)
