4 Tryouts/spring break MSHSL: 1st day of contact for Baseball (SR-SO) is Monday, March 19th, 2018 Contact includes: Players Coached, Evaluated, and/or Practice/Trained. Prior Lake Spring Break is Monday, March 12th PLHS Baseball Tryouts (SR-SO) start Monday, March 19th. Because of this there will be no Spring Trip for the Baseball Program For a (SR-SO) PLHS player wanting to participate in the 2018 baseball season they must be at ALL 5 days of tryouts, Monday through Friday.

5 Tryouts/spring break Freshmen Tryouts will be Monday, March 5th through Thursday, March 8th after school. Players will be meeting with a coach on Friday, March 9th to learn if they earned a spot in the PLHS Baseball Program For a Freshmen PLHS player wanting to participate in the 2018 baseball season they must be at ALL 5 days of tryouts, Monday through Friday. Exact times and Locations of tryouts are TBD.

6 New student-athlete conduct policy
1st Violation: Ineligible from play for 5 games Ineligible for any team award Ineligible for captain or any leadership position in ANY SPORT for High School career 2nd Violation Ineligible from play for 10 games Penalty reduced with successful completion of treatment program 3rd Violation Ineligible from play for 1 year Penalties will be assessed for rule violation in extracurricular, co- curricular, and interscholastic activities Rule violations include: Possession, purchase, distribution, and/or under the influence of alcohol, tobacco, or illicit drug including look-alike drugs and drug paraphernalia Racial, Religious, Sexual Harassment, Violence and/or Hazing Gross Misconduct (persistent/flagrant violations of school policy)

7 CAPTAIN’s PRACTICE We will again offer the Off-Season Training Program (Captains Practice) Late January to Early March Tuesday & Thursday nights at STARTERS in Shakopee We will try to schedule at night to avoid conflicts with LAKER PERFORMANCE and WINTER TEAM PRACTICES More information about this in our January Meeting

8 PRIOR LAKE BASEBALL apparel
In the past we have had PLHS baseball apparel offered 1 time in the FALL and 1 time in JAN. This year we will be opening the online store 1 time only. The store will be opened approximately Mid November with purchases being handed out in Jan. Notification of the online store opening will be ed to the families FYI: this is NOT a fundraiser for the PLHS baseball program. No proceeds from the online store go towards the PLHS baseball program.

11 PLHS Baseball Fundraisers
Salt Sales – Starting Today, Fall Only Burger Bash – At the POINT in PL on January 27th, 2018 Gold Cards Blitz – 1 day event in April (During Season)

12 Fall SALT SALE 40 lb bags of Salt
Each bag sells for $7.50-Pellets/Coarse $8.50-Rust Out Each player is being asked to sell 40 bags. Buy Out is $125 for Salt Sale Players Released from Program do not get their money fundraised back. Against MSHSL rules.

13 Salt Sales Conti…. Players are expected to help load into vehicles
Google Doc Order Form will be sent out via and also be on the website. Players are to have ALL orders submitted by SAT, Oct 7th at 7 pm online (salt orders and buyouts). Salt Pick up is SAT, OCT 14th at: TWIN OAKS MIDDLE SCHOOL Players are expected to help load into vehicles JR & SR Players will be assigned shifts on Sat, Oct 14th will be at TOMS to assist with loading salt into vehicles
