Showed specific example: Link-local PRPA, DHCP-based PAA discovery and EP triggering (Figure 6 of draft-morand-pana-panaoverdsl-01.txt)
This example was shown to address the concern on the use of link-local IPv4 address described in the previous liaison letter sent from DSL Forum to IETF PANA WG
Comments
The example does not still satisfy DSL requirement since it still requires an IP address configuration before authentication
Allowing PANA to use unspecified IPv4 address and carry Option 82 information inserted by DSLAM is the closest to DSL requirement
It is still not sure which approach (PANA, IEEE P802.1af, DHCP-Auth) is likely to be adopted by DSL Forum
