Lightweight way of showing your work at a conference
Posters do three things:
They attract attention
They explain your work when you’re not there
They give you something to talk to when you are!
Poster sessions are often mixed in with social events
Great way to get to know lots of people

11. Legibility CAPITAL LETTERS SHOULD NOT BE USED IN CONTINUOUS TEXT
Layout should have space between paragraphs, not be overcrowded, and avoid fitting text around illustrations
Do not have all the text in italic typefaces
An active rather than passive voice should be used
Syntax rules should be observed and grammar

Key points should be repeated in order to emphasise their importance
Makes sure you have the right target group in mind and design/tailor the content to suit.

Remember Colour has cultural meanings.

Some people can not discriminate between some colours.
People are effected by many different colour combinations
