2. The purpose of our project
to discuss the problem of being successful in modern life and develop our speaking and vocabulary skills
Our research tasks:
1) To perform theoretical materials related to the topic
2) To broaden and deepen our knowledge of English
3) To identify the success formula of some famous people
4) To apply this knowledge for finding our own key to success
5) To prepare a presentation and a report for the school scientific conference on the topic

3. The result of our research
The project on the theme «The key to success», the slide presentation of this material and a report at the school scientific conference on the topic
The practical application:
1)To expand our horizons
2) The consolidation of the skill of independent work with different kinds of material
3) Broadening and deepening knowledge of the English language
4) To use the research work during the English lessons and in extracurricular activities

4. Our hypothesis:
If we learn the formula for success of some famous people, we will be able to find our own key to success

5. Inspiring success story of Soichiro Honda
Soichiro Honda is the founder of one of the most well-known large automotive companies Honda. The history of the company began when Soichiro Honda came to the interview to get a job at Toyota. Soichiro Honda was refused to work as he was said to be not professionally suitable. Honda did not give up and decided to create his own company, which would be no worse than Toyota. Thus a new company was born that has really become a competitor to Toyota.
From this inspiring story of success we can learn an important lesson – never give up!

6. The story of Stephen King
Most people know Stephen King as a famous writer, but few know anything about his life. The first novel of Stephen King was rejected by almost all publishers. Stephen whose first novel was harshly criticized threw it in the trash. His wife pulled the manuscript out of the garbage and began to insist that he would not give up and continue to submit the work again and again and, in the end, the novel was evaluated, and Stephen King became the man we know now.
From this inspiring success story we learn a very important lesson – failures have no meaning at all if You believe in yourself!

7. Thomas Edison’s Success Story
Success story of Thomas Edison is one of those stories of success, which can be a great motivation for people who have experienced failures. The most famous invention of Thomas Edison - the electric light bulb. Working on it, the inventor conducted 2000 experiments and spent a whole year on the invention . A bright flash of light burned the inventor’s face and he even had a nervous breakdown. But in spite of that, Edison had accomplished his goal, he achieved success as an inventor and as a businessman. His electric lamp was so easy and economical that the use of candles compared to this invention was a disaster.
From this inspiring success story we make a very important conclusion – failure must not stop You, even if it catches You more than once!

8. One of the inspiring stories that really encourages success
Oprah is a recognized icon of television, besides Oprah Winfrey is considered to be one of the richest women in the world. This is the example of an interesting story about overcoming difficulties, obstacles and setbacks. Now she is a very respectable person, her fees are incredibly huge. Moreover, she is very popular. The unique woman speaks about the success: "the secret of success is that there is no secret. Work and You will achieve your goal".

9. The story of Bill Gates
Bill Gates – the founder of the Microsoft Corporation - is one of the most inspiring leaders, but one day his idea of creating a computer with graphical interface and a mouse was ridiculed. They say that some of his projects were thrown into his face. But despite that, he still became the great Bill Gates!

10. Our insights
So, lets summarize these lessons. Of course, these stories of success are presented not for entertainment, their main aim is to inspire, motivate and encourage people who want to succeed in their career and life.
Firstly, failures must not stop You.
Secondly, a failure is not a problem that affects everyone. And the most important thing – believing in yourself is the key to success in life.
