2 Overview What is QlickView: A data visualization and processing tool
They deliver a consumer approach for business software Enables users to forecast, create dashboards and what- if scenarios Why QlickView: QlickView deviates from the traditional database OLAP model and instead uses an associative model They are able to do this quickly by caching your data in memory Pull data from any source PAIGE

3 QlikView Platform NEEHARIKA
As you learned, clik view provides 2 basic strengths that set it apart from numerous BI tools. 1. In memory processing and 2.Associative technology In this slide I am going to define the platform and help explain how clik view can be deployed to different people in many different departments. The Clik View Architecture has 3 main components 1. Backend server/publisher (publisher does few things - active directory access permissions on different applications for groups of users, and publishes applications to clik view server.) Qlik View server is analytical engine. It serves application to user and allows data to be explored and analyzed, ). 2. Administrative Management console Clik view management console – see all items on platform, how they are behaving, which user is accessing which applications and how publisher is performing. 3.Desktop and user client interfaces (dashboards and analytics apps, also defines connections and SQL statements and modeling)   Another way to think about this architecture is in 3 tiers 1. Date (bottom)  2. Engine 3. Presentation

4 QlikView Client License Pricing
Personal Edition (individual use only) Free QlikView Server License Pricing Enterprise Edition Server $36,150 per server Small Business Edition Server (up to 25 named users) $8,675 per server RAAJITA

6 Customers Big Brother Big Sister Achievements
Data unified to provide easy centralized access Better ability to analyze children’s growth and development Gatorade Achievements Less than one week to develop initial sales applications Less than one day to develop subsequent applications  Realized full ROI in four months Reduced reporting time from 1-4 hours with MicroStrategy to 3 minutes — saving up to $237 in employee time for each report generated RAAJITA

7 Competitors Pros Cons In-memory data processing Associative engine
Integrate ANY data source Confusing interface Time intensive Little community Pros Cons Integrate with R Clean GUI   Low cost   No reporting Generalized Slow in-memory calculations NEEHA Let me start off by saying that according to top rating sites like Gartner. Qlik view is top competitor to tableau. Qlik View was created in 1993, Tableau in Gartner had predicted–that by 2012, 70% of global companies would embrace in-memory processing of data, QlikView rose to be a market leader in that arena

8 In Summary QlikView is a data visualization software that sets itself apart from its competitors through its use of an associative data model and caching data. Furthermore QlikView allows users to draw data from any source and view it through a color coding system that makes it easy to see connections.
