Dr. Nicky Allsopp’s background is in understanding soil patterns and processes and how these are affected by disturbance and vegetation change. Her research has mostly been undertaken in communally grazed areas of the Northern Cape, South Africa. This has resulted in a refocus on the interface between ecosystems and the people who use and manage them.
