Certification Completed
Coach Gift Package Each coach will be provided one gift package only. Please make sure to let your division director if you will be attending a class to increase your level of certification. Your package will be provided upon completion of the class. 10U Gift Packages will come from Score. 12U and above Gift Packages will come from The Bench Sports Goods located at 9179 Valley View St, Cypress, CA Gift packages will be pre-determined items. Regional-run Practices & Coach Training (on-field)
Session 1 August 7 & 8 6U and 8U teams Coaches and players will learn what to expect during a practice. Warm-ups techniques and passing, shooting, and game play drills will be taught. August 14 & 15 10U and 12U teams Session 2 August 28 & 29 TBD September 4 & 5 Session 3 October 2 & 3 Coaches will be given a chance to complete the Fall season evaluations with the guidance of experienced coaches. Players will learn on the various aspects they are being evaluated on. October 9 & 10 Attendance Gifts Each team that attends all 3 sessions will be given a $25 gift card towards their end of the season party. One of those lucky teams will win a $100 gift card towards their end of the season party. 6

Regional-run Practices & Coach Training (on-field)
Friday Night Practices AYSO 154 is offering field training sessions for all coaches and individual players on Friday nights (please check calendar for dates). We are excited to showcase the EXTRA coaches and players this year by inviting one EXTRA team to each Friday night practice. The EXTRA coach and players will assist in demonstrating the drills to the attending coaches and players. Near the end of each practice, the EXTRA coach will demonstrate an age appropriate drill that they use during their practices. AYSO 154's goal is to inspire the coaches and core players to excel in their training. 7

LA Galaxy Clinic LA Galaxy Camps and Clinic will run a clinic for up to 100 players. Please reserve your child(s) spot online. Coaches welcome to come learn drills. Arnold Elementary 9281 Denni Street Cypress, CA 90630 Friday, August 25, 6pm - 7:30 pm. 8

Build Out Line (8U and 10U only)
The purpose of the build out line is to teach players how to advance the ball out of the back by keeping the ball in possession, now becoming the attacking team. Goalkeepers can no longer punt or drop-kick the ball. Build Out Line tutorial and additional instructions. 9

Referee Volunteer Guidelines
Each team will need 3 Referee Volunteers for the season. 8U - will need to supply 3 referee volunteers that will be assigned to aid in centering 8U games and AR 10U/12U games. Each team will be assigned referee responsibilities by the RRA. 10U/12U - will need to supply 1 Assistant Referee (AR) per game. Center will be provided. 14U-19U - will need to supply 2 Assistant Referees (AR) per game. Center will be provided. The number of games, dates and times will be assigned by the RRA. Also, you can sign up on Matchtrak to reserve any games you wish as well. Any coverage will be credited to the coach and team that was assigned to that game regardless of who does it! Ask the Regional Referee Administrator for support if any of your assignments are not signed up for. **Each team will be rewarded with 2 BONUS points if all of their team referee assignments are scheduled into MatchTrak before the season begins.** 10

Field Duties Team Responsibilities/Field Duties First Game of the day
Home Team – (if only team from Cypress, than your team is responsible for all of it.) Friday Night (5:30-7 pm) - Paints the field Saturday Morning – Places corner flags Away Team – Friday Night (5:30-7 pm) - Moves goalposts into position and puts on nets Last Game of the day (Clean up trash from on or around your field) After game – Move one goal post back near lock up box and returns all nets and corner flags. Away Team – After game – Move one goal post back near lock up box 11
