LSL Overview Types of sessions Plenaries Concurrent Sessions
OSR Business Meetings (Joint) Regional National Other: career fair, poster session, receptions, etc. The meeting includes many different kinds of sessions. The plenary speakers this year include David Brooks, a New York Times columnist; Dr. Darrell Kirch and Dr. Marsha Rappley, who represent the leadership of the AAMC; Dr. Siddhartha Mukherjee, author of The Emperor of All Maladies and The Gene; and a panel of physicians talking about their experiences as patients, and how that has shaped their approaches to medicine. Most of the program consists of concurrent sessions that cover specific topics as well as updates from AAMC programs & services, and other partners like the NRMP. One concurrent sessions that may interest you include Learners Leading Learners: a showcase of student-led initiatives around the country, and I encourage you to explore the program agenda as you plan for the meeting. The OSR will have our group meetings primarily on Friday, along with a social Thursday evening and additional sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning. More on this in a second. Finally, there are other sessions, including a career fair for high school and college students, a poster session, and numerous opportunities to network and connect with other meeting attendees.
