Recruitment method As a method of recruitment, Southeast Asian Airlines can use Employee Referral as a method of recruitment of Reservation clerks for the airlines as this job is an entry- level job, so company will have to hire the employees from outside. Hence, employee referral would be an appropriate method to recruit employees, as the existing would be better knowing the job profile and the capability of their relatives for the same Recruitment through advertisement would not be appropriate as the company is a cost-efficient company, and advertisements would result in huge number of applicants, for which company would have to incur costs to segregate eligible and non-eligible candidates

Initial interview in HR department ,then, Preliminary selection in HR department ,then, Hiring decision Background investigation Supervisor investigation, are not required as the recruitment method is Employee Referral, employees who will refer to their relatives, will be responsible for the personality, attitude, etc., therefore, there is no need for Background investigation and Supervisor investigation

Type of selection tests
Ability test EQ test For selection of reservation clerks, that too through Employee Referral, Southeast Asian airlines need to test just ability and EQ of the applicants, as the employee will have to work in a stressful situation, as there is lot of rush at the airport, therefore EQ test is needed Other tests would not be useful for this profile as there is no need of testing personality as recruitment is done through employee referral, there is no need of aptitude test, as it is not needed for this particular job profile

Interview types Situational Interview – as it is to be tested that how a person reacts in a situation of stress and also in any particular situation Panel Interview - as body language, communication skills , stress bearing ability, of a person need to be tested, and a panel would be able to test this better, instead of a single interviewer Structured Interview - to conduct a standard interview, free from any limitations like, halo effect, horn effect, etc.
