MY CAREER !!!!!!!!!!!! BY: Neila Toussaint

My Career Forensic science Forensic science is the scientific method of gathering and examining information about the past. Or in other words forensic science is when you are determining a crime scene and exactly what you believe happened at that moment.

What degree do I need ? In order for me to achieve my goal in being a forensic scientist I must earn my bachelors degree in science or criminal investigation . I will have to go to school for at least 4 years and earn over 16 credits to get that degree.

HOW MANY YEARS OF COLLEGE?
Bachelors Degree in Forensic Science Traditional 3 and 1/2 to 4 years with a maxed-out class load –fulltime: at or above 16 credits 4  to 4 and 1/2 years is the normal – usually full time: 12 credits or more 5 and 1/2  years, or more – usually part time: below 12 credits Online 2 and 1/2 to 4 years depending on the school – usually you can’t manipulate the program to go faster or slower – but, there are exceptions to this general rule.

How much do I make Annual pay for forensic science analysts ranged from $32,760 for the lowest-paid 10 percent to more than $84,000 for the top 10 percent, according to the BLS. Salaries also vary by the type of agency employing an analyst. Most forensic analysts worked for state and local law enforcement agencies. Analysts in local police departments earned an average of $54,990 per year, slightly more than the $54,550 average received by their state counterparts. Weekly pay for forensic science analysts is $1,615. Again salaries also vary by the type of agency employing an analyst. The highest payment is 168,000 dollars.
