2. The trip was tiring but at the end of the day it was very worth it
The trip was tiring but at the end of the day it was very worth it. We took 2 flights and 7 hours at the Munich airport, waiting… waiting… For us it was the first time we flew, it felt like we are sitting g on the couch but a thousands of altitude. We were a little nervous but it was a good trip and a good feeling.

3. We arrived in Pettenbach, a small village with beautiful houses and large free and yellow areas.  At night, the host family picks us at school and we all went home. We said goodbye to our teachers with our hearts tight. We were alone for the first time in our lives: A new house and unknown people …It was a real adventure

4. The first day we visited the host school
The first day we visited the host school. It was different from our school: we had never seen a stepping stone in the classroom. Each class had a room for almost every subject.  We were jealous of the splendid and big pavilion dedicated to physical education . Dear Headmaster, we want it too!!!!

5. We went to visit the beautifull cities ( Linz,Salzburg, Hallstatt…)

7. Ice Caves and Five Fingers were places that seemed close to visiting another world. Beautiful and different landscapes like in a movie with special effects. This day on the mountains (we didn’t see  Heidi and Peter… ) was very tiring, because we had to walk… and walk… and climb many steps, for 700 meters ? But we managed to succeed.
We think that our teacher Maria still has nightmares because of this.

8. FIVE FINGERS, Where the snow was dry
Hum ... we were four Portuguese, or not?

9. Hallstatt, a dream place.

12. The host family was friendly and lovely
The host family was friendly and lovely. Whilst Iara was very homesick every night, we loved sharing our day-to-day life with our Austrian host family. We have never dream that one day this could happen!!!
The Gudrum family will forever be in our heart and memory.
