OVERNIGHT PEAK FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 25th June 2012 (WEEK 26)
Minimal PUT losses were reported for all demo’s this week with having the greatest decline of 8% YOY, and 5+ down the least with just 0.5% YOY. Against AP 5+, Thursday had a the highest YOY growth of 4%, and while Monday, Friday and Saturday showed growth of 1%-2% Source: Nielsen TAM. OVERNIGHT TV ONE* HIGHLIGHTS AP 25-54
TV ONE*’s overnight audience reported a strong performance this week up 2% YOY to 8.1 ratings and 21.6% share. Weekly both audience and share losses were recorded. Weekly, Saturday had the highest weekly ratings growth driven by majority of shows on air (and lack of Rugby on Sky Sport). Year to date, TV ONE’s average audience is sitting at 8.0, compared to 9.2 in 2011. Two shows were in the top ten programmes this week. OVERNIGHT TV2 HIGHLIGHTS AP 18-39
TV2’s audience increased this week to a 9.3, as did share to 29.8%. Year on year, audience and share losses were reported. Saturday night reported the highest weekly lift of 57% with Wipeout and Spiderman 3 lifting performances. TV2’s average audiences year to date are sitting at 8.6 compared to 9.7 last year. All of the top ten programmes this week were on TV2. TVNZ Ondemand weekly Stream Views increased by 103% compared to the same week last year. Year to date, TVNZ Ondemand Stream Views are sitting 55% ahead of last year. Monday’s episode of Shortland Street was the most streamed programme for this week.
