Opportunity Area:
New product for wireless communication hub for smart grid applications. Initial design was difficult to assemble, did not meet extended temperature range requirements.
New opportunities to integrate technology in smart meter applications drove need for integration of new technologies.
Work Performed:
Thermal fluids testing and simulation and resulting redesign, including new battery charging and heating controls, and thermal shielding and manufacturability updates
Technology roadmap for integration of Wi-Sun for smart grid interface
Results:
Council Rock is in bidding cycle for several smart grid programs and has added software and hardware development teams to move these product lines forward.
