3. Why has the atomic model changed over time?

10. Baseline:
Thomson (plum pudding model) said that atoms consisted of a cloud of positive charge with tiny negative charged electrons. The overall charge balanced out though.
Whereas, Rutherford, Geiger and Marsden (nuclear model) found that the cloud of positive charge must be concentrated at a tiny spot in the centre (the nucleus) and the electrons must orbit the nucleus.
Bohr (atomic model) then revised this when he found that electrons are in different shells with fixed energy levels.
