Quick Facts Chromecast provides a mirroring functionality. Whatever is shown on the viewers device, will appear on their TV Viewers will be able to access Disney/ABC content through the WATCH apps on their computer or mobile device and mirror the content to their TV using Chromecast Chromecast is supported on iOS and Android mobile devices and the web (Chrome browser) If content is casting, exiting the app (closing the browser) will not interrupt the content being played on the TV. For example, if you are mirroring a Lab Rats episode to your TV and decide to search within the WATCH Disney XD app or anywhere on your device, the episode will continue to play on your TV while you search. If the user stops the content, or if the content ends, the TV will display the idle image.

The first time the icon is displayed, an introductory overlay will display.

The icon will first display in an OFF state until it is connected to the receiver
Tapping on the cast icon will display the cast menu When the cast menu is displayed while the sender app is connected but content was not casted to the receiver, it will display a message that it is ready to cast video and an option to disconnect When the cast menu is displayed while the sender app is not connected, a list of available receivers will display.

Cast Menu States Not Connected but Receivers are Available
A. Tapping the cast button shows the cast menu B. The cast menu title "Connect to device" is to the right of the cast icon C. The cast menu shows a list of available Cast receivers D. Each receiver in the list shows a state below its name. The receiver state is the device model when idle (e.g. Chromecast) and a status when connected (e.g. "Casting YouTube") When another user connects to a receiver currently casting (e.g. "Office - Casting YouTube") from the same app (e.g. YouTube), the sender app provides controls for the content being cast.

A. When the sender app is connected to a Cast receiver, tapping the cast button shows the cast menu B. The cast menu title "Receiver-Name" is to the right of the cast icon C. The cast menu shows a button to disconnect from the receiver Connected and Casting A. The cast menu title "Receiver-Name" is to the right of the cast icon B. The receiver / content currently casting is shown below the title. Tapping a receiver / content item, closes the cast menu and shows the full controls and info for that content item C. An option to disconnect from the receiver is available C

Multiple Users When another user connects to a receiver currently casting from the same app, the sender app provides controls for the content being cast. When another user connects to a receiver currently casting from an app that is not casting, the previous sender app disconnects and the new sender app connects When the cast menu is displayed while the sender app is connected but content was not cast to the receiver, it will display a message that it is ready to cast video and an option to disconnect When the cast menu is displayed while the sender app is connected and content was cast to the receiver, info of what’s casting now with a play/pause button for VOD or stop button for live will display with the option to disconnect
