2 Frame We will identify driving under the influence and apply to different scenarios. EQ: What are the consequences of driving under the influence? I will develop consequences if a police officer pulls me over.

Do you think driving under the influence is okay? What does driving under the influence mean to you? Do you know someone who has driven under the influence? Do you know someone with an alcohol problem?

What are some of the things you have been taught to you about driving under the influence ? Do you know what zero tolerance means? How many people die a year because of driving under the influence?

12 Definition of Under The Influence
According to Merriam Webster’s Online Dictionary: the offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated by drugs or especially alcohol.

13 Driving Under the Influence
In 2015, an average of 20% of high school students nationwide rode at least once a month in a car or other vehicle driven by someone who had been drinking alcohol. In 2015, an average of 7.1% of high school students nationwide drove when drinking alcohol. Hispanic students had a higher prevalence than white and black students of riding with a driver who had been drinking alcohol.
