3. Summary of week pbs & work
Beam No beam since July 29, 8h:
-General CERN power cut on July 29, 8h
-PS septum replacement on August 1, no beam till Aug 8
Beam line -Pbs going to « Beam on » 28/07 22h:
B2/3 set values off by 0.6A wrt ref. values
-Interlock B4/5 during field rotation tested and works
-SM1 readings fluctuations noticed night of 29/07:
investigated and fixed by techs on 01/08: replaced ADC card
General -AirWell conditioning unit for MM & DC FE fixed (water flow)
-Problematic recovery of Demineralized water after power cut:
→small leaks in solenoid PSU, fixed
→bigger leak on SM2, fixed
-Problematic restart of UPS units

- Polarization restarted 01/08 13h:
today at 13h (3days): +46.5% ; -44.7%; +49.8%

-Work in progress to improve trigger rate:
actual limitation ~ 15 k/spill, limited by DATE5

Monitoring -COOOL bug fixes

- Inclusion of COOOL histos and MurphyTV in Run-logbook?

- Silicon & SciFi-J CAENET comm. Pbs cured?
- RICH PD HV in DCS; #units for #modules

- « Masked items » & « Channels off » implemented

BMS/SciFi D/J -T0 BMS/SciFi-J in DB
- No change in trigger time:
BMS 1/2/5 time shifted due to TCS clock cable
SciFi 1/2 shifted due to F1 resolution changed
SciFi W -Moved out of beam to fix discriminator board
Trigger -Additional tuning when beam back
Silicon -Latch all data taken:
some noise dependant on solenoid field,
further investigations needed

MM - Trips and problematic operation in 2.5T understood:

MWPC - Nothing special
W45 - Fluctuations in gas flow due to pump pb: fixed

MuonW1 - Few mismatches in detector map
MuonW2 - Few problematic channels
HCAL1 - LED HV tuning done, waiting for beam
- Problematic ADC channels swapped to dead zone
HCAL2 - Nothing special
ECAL1 - A lot of work done this week on HV: all OK
- Still missing part of FE
ECAL2 - HV channels OK, 80% FE OK (FIADC pbs)

10. Summary of week pbs & work
RICH - Radiator gas system:
*no problem during power cut (UPS and diesel worked)
*incident on 30/07 due to burned heater in one compressor;
temporary fix during week-end, cured on Monday.
*no gas lost; leak rate OK; O2 level slightly higher (8ppm)
*thermalisation fixed, back to fast circulation on Tuesday

RICH - Read-out cooling:
*not active on 01/08, due to short in thermalisation system
(cooling & therm. linked through use of same PLC)
*all RO elements connected; pbs on few MAD+APV lines
*improvement on thermal protection of RO:
needs reset to restart LV
- PD: on since 01/08; HV in PVSS; CH4 system OK
- LV: slow control in PVSS implemented for both PM and APV
- MAMPT: all on; RO OK; threshold scan done
- APV: sparsified mode checked, OK; pedestals measured;
latency scans stopped by power cut.
