Map trajectories of male and female 150-msec [a:] segments judged normal (nm1-3, nf1-3), or dysphonic (dm1-3, df 1 -3). A common reference location is indicated by an asterisk on each map. The voices of Subjects dm1 (rough) and df1 (rough, breathy, and strained) were judged mildly dysphonic, those of dm2 (rough and breathy), dm3 (rough and strained), df2 (rough and breathy), and df3 (breathy and strained) severely dysphonic.
