Each major plant system is managed by a team typically consisting of:
Systems Engineer
Design Engineer
Maintenance Engineer
Operations personnel
Maintenance personnel
Others, as necessary

4. System Teams (cont.) Meets regularly
Develops and maintains a list of important issues
Places issues into correct mechanism (mod, equipment equivalency, T-mod, procedure change or “do nothing”)
Proposes system modifications (and priorities) to management

Provides scope, proposed installation schedule, and net present value report (for discretionary items)
Ensures resources are focused on issues important to the plant
Enhances stakeholder involvement and sense of ownership
Reduces “abandoned” engineering products
