Who is Vera Maxwell Born April 22, 1903
to Austrian parents in New York Dancer with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Studied Tailoring in London and worked as fitting model before start of design career in 1929. Worked with several designers including: Alder & Alder Max Milstein Glenhurst Launched her career in 1935 with a goal of making soft tailored suits for ladies.

1943 Jumpsuit originally designed for male factory workers were modified to fit women that worked the factories during WW2
