3 STATIP/TRIPOD SETTING
Set the tripod. The leg should be opened minimally in 60 degree Plug the statip to the ground in order that it stands strongly. Technology and Engineering

4 INSRUMENT SETTING 1. Try to make the tripod disk is in horizontal position. 2. Take the instrument out from the box Technology and Engineering

5 3. Record the kind, number, and the type of the instrument.
4. Place the instrument on the tripod disk and lock it using screw. Technology and Engineering

6 INSTRUMENT SETTING 1. Now it is time to make the instrument become in horizontal position and ready to use. 2. Set the instrument and the two nivo screws equally (a and b) Technology and Engineering

7 4. Play screw (c) to make the bubble position is in the centre.
3. Play the screw (a and b) together by thumb. Play both screws in the same direction in order that the nivo bubble is in the centre. 4. Play screw (c) to make the bubble position is in the centre. Technology and Engineering

8 5. Direct the telescope on the target, then check the nivo once more..
6. If the bubble is not in the centre position, repeat the steps of nivo setting as mentioned above. Technology and Engineering

9 7. Direct on the target again
7. Direct on the target again. Then check the cross thread by stirring the ocular lens 8. Check the parrarel sign by directing the diaphragm screw until we can clearly see the target’s mark. Technology and Engineering

10 9. If the nivo, paralak, cross thread are correct, it means that we are ready to read the target.
10.Pay attention on the nivo tube which must be equal with the telescope. It must be in horizontal position by setting the nivo driving force screw. The nivo is in inverted U-shaped if it is seen from ocular lens. Technology and Engineering

11 HOW TO READ HIGH DIFFERENCES
1. Sign between point A and B are as follow : A = 1,736 m B = 1,253 m = 0,483 m Point B is higher 0,483 m than point A 2. A level = HA and B level = HB. If the sign is read as A = fA and sign B = fB, so the high differences between sign A and B is fA – fB. Technology and Engineering

13 HOW TO USE AUTOLEVEL The Conditions of an autolevel are :
Main condition : telescope viewfinder must be equal with nivo reference line Second Condition : Nivo reference line must be in perpendicular with the first spindle Third Condition : The cross thread line must be in perpendicular with the first spindle Technology and Engineering

15 AUTOLEVEL OPERATION SYSTEM
1. Tripod/statip setting Open the strap Slack the three screws Remove the statip head up as high as the breast Open the statip leg, forming equilateral triangle in 60 degree by the ground surface Tread the statip Control the surface of the statip Control the statip surface using pencil to make sure that the position has been flat. 16 2. Instrument setting on the statip
Place the autolevel on the statip head, and then lock it using statip locker. Set the telescope so that the nivo is in equal position with the screw ( A and B) Play the two screws together in opposite direction so that the nivo bubble position is in the centre Play the telescope so that the nivo is perpendicular with the direction of the screw ( A and B ) Set only the screw ( c ) so that the nivo bubble is in the middle Repeat the step above until the bubble is located in centre when the telescope plays in all direction Technology and Engineering

17 3. Viewing telescope on target
Play the telescope on target using view helping tool (visir) where is located on the telescope near the ocular lens. Set the ocular ring so that the cross thread is clearly seen. Set the diaphragm so that the target will clearly seen. Fit the position of the vertical cross thread with the target spindle using horizontal driving force screw. See and record the high of the top yarn, middle yarn and bottom yarn. Control the result using formula as follow: (Ba + Bb)/2 = Bt By the same steps, view the telescope on the wanted target Technology and Engineering
