2. Individual Instruction: Collaborative Station:
Log in to your edelements account and click on Achieve3000
Choose Biology as your course and then click on the Biology link on the left hand side of the screen
Click on the category “Interdependence of Organisms” on the right hand side of the screen
For the topic “Food Chains,” in your notebook, define the vocabulary using all six components (Word, textbook definition, definition in your own words, a sentence showing you understand the concept, a picture/diagram to go along with the term, and the Spanish translation of the term and its definition.
Then do the Vocab activity.
Read & take Cornell Notes on the article on Food Chains.
Then complete the Reading Activity and Thought Questions.
Collaborative Station:
Develop a powerpoint of a food web. Choose one of the following ecosystems: grasslands, tropical rainforest, temperate forest, desert, freshwater estuary, coral reef, or tide pool.
Identify unique and specific species: at least four producers, four primary consumers, two secondary consumers, and two tertiary consumers.
Cite your sources for information by putting the URLs on each slide of your presentation. You need a minimum of three reputable sources (no wiki, answers, or ask type websites….yes to .gov and .edu type websites).
