2 Summary- The theocracy of the Puritan town of Salem felt threatened by unusual happenings which they blamed on witchcraft. Witches were being identified and were being punished. What was Massachusetts like in the colonial period? How did people communicate then? What was happening in the 1950s that concerned Miller?

What do you know about the political feelings of the s? What happens when people/communities use – Guilt by association? Unexamined testimony? Judges blinded by their own biases? The system of justice to carry out personal greed or revenge?
