Hiking and Biking The Refuge offers over 10 miles of paved trails for walking or biking. Shore Trail folllows the dunes from the Visitor Center 5 miles to Brant Point.

Wildlife Viewing View many species of bird, deer, small animals, and wild ponys from trails. Observation decks give excellent view of ducks, geese, and other migratory birds.

Refuge Regulations Fishing/crabbing permitted in designated areas.
Refuge pools closed to all boats. Camping not permitted. Boats permitted on Brant Point from September 1 to March 14. Open fires prohibited except by special permit.

Safety Information Take precautions to avoid ticks that might carry Lyme disease. Do not approach wildlife. Wear protective clothing and use repellent against mosquitoes.
