1 Surviving hard times (1 Samuel 30:3-6) When David and his men came to Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. {4} So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep… {6} David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.

The Lord Knows – God knows us intimately and cares deeply about us. “This is a knowledge which is in living, intimate relationship to its subject and at the same time is inclined to it and bound to in by love.” Keil and Delitzch The Way– God watches over the “road” our life takes to make sure nothing happens without His consent. Of the Righteous – Only those committed to pursuing and pleasing God are cared for in this way.
