They slew not any
The restraining hand of God

5. 2. Be honest with your feelings
1 Sam 30:3-4
Wept until they had no more strength to weep (v4)
The shortest route to a mental breakdown is for us to deny our feelings
Then David and the men with him lifted up their voices
Crying allows us to vent our feelings
God had cheated in us tear ducts in order to provide us with an emotional safety valve speaking in tongues

David refused to put his trust in anyone except the Lord (Jehovah) and his God (Elohim)
Jehovah – is the covenantal name of God
Elohim – shows God to be all powerful One, Creator and possessor of Heaven and Earth

He instructed Abiathar to bring the ephod
Ephod is an embodiment of the Lord’s word because it contains the Urim and the Thumin
Represent the prophetic word of the Old Testament
