“I will steady him with my hand with my powerful arm I will make him strong. His enemies will not defeat him, nor will the wicked over power him. I will beat down his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him

3. This is a promise (by Covenant) made by God to David- COVENANT OF VICTORY against adversaries enemies.
b) Strength for war (c) unending Love (d) eternal dynasty
Because of covenant ,David never lost a battle. Even when enemy felt they had defeated him utterly at ziklag ( 1 Sam 30:17-18)
He pursued, overtook and recovered all that was initially lost.

4. Even with the grave sins which David committed (for which God punished him and his generations greatly for)
God was still faithful for his covenant with David (Ps 89:34 “my covenant will I not break nor alter the things that has gone out of my lips”)

5. * 1 Sam 17:50 Victory over Goliath and Philistine
You and I through Christ have a better covenant of Victory than David and many of the Patriarchs of old for we have the benefit of their covenants
(Gal 3:9 if you are in Christ, you are Abrahams seed and beneficiary of promises (Covenant) by inheritance) Plus the H/SP. Which will guide us, instruct us, as we go to battle.

6. H/SP there to instruct us concerning battles to be fought you are of God little Children and have overcome them “for greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world”.
1 John4:4
The Spirit in us, is more than able to make us overcomers over the wickedness, evil challenges of this world.

7. YOU ARE BORN TO WIN THROUGH CHRIST
Phil 4:13
We are overcomers by the blood of Jesus (Rev. 12:11)
John 16:23- In this world you shall have tribulation but because Jesus has overcome, you have also overcome, for He achieves Victory for us (the battle)

8. Jer 1:18-19
“ I have made thee a defence, an Iron Pillar and brozen wall againt the whole land against the kings of Judah, the prices and priest thereof and against the people of the land and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee, for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.

9. It Is God that goes with you, to fight your battle Deut28: 1-2 & 7)
“They that know their God shall be strong
Gen 22:17 “You will posses the gate of your enemies” (part of the Covenant package God made with Abraham)
