Particularities of the Baltic states’ security
Main task – to keep Russians out and Americans in Vulnerabilities of the Baltic states: Institutional weaknesses, such as fragmentation and commercialization Poorly integrated minorities Energy dependency on Russia (sources and infrastructure) Trade dependency of certain sectors Lack of resilience of the society for the soft influence (informational attacks, culture penetration) Ties of political and business elite with Russia Changing security situation in the region Failing democratic standards in Russia since 2007 War in Georgia and Ukraine Militarization of the region (especially Kaliningrad district) Ambiguous intentions of Russian elite Strong support of society to the imperialistic goal of Russian regime facebook.com/TSPMI
