The end of Controlled Assessments
Increased content for subjects at KS4, Maths and English – a third more content Maths and English a lot harder and Grades replaced by numbers Progress

English Baccalaureate Route
Students are encouraged to study subjects that will prepare them for A-levels/University The English Baccalaureate will be awarded if students pass at a Grade 4/5 or above in English, Mathematics, Double Science, French and either History or Geography.

Vocational Route This pathway is predominantly a vocational route with many BTEC subjects and is designed for students who wish to learn a more technical skill. This band can take students onto our Aspire sixth form, college, apprenticeships and employment.

Mixture Students can select the English Baccalaureate subjects or other subjects to reflect their learning needs. This band can take students onto our Aspire sixth form, college, apprenticeships, employment and prepare them for a future at university.
