2 Having selected a microfilm (article) to copy, turn on the scanner and wait a minute.

3 Put your reel on the left spindle & push till it ‘clicks’
Put your reel on the left spindle & push till it ‘clicks’. Feed the film under the lenses & advance till you see the first page of your article on the screen. 3

4 Turn on the computer. 4

5 On the desktop, double-click on the “Imagescan” icon.

6 Double-click on the “Capture Perfect” icon, wait a few seconds and close.

7 Click the “Imagescan” icon again; a new screen will open up
Click the “Imagescan” icon again; a new screen will open up. Click “Start in English” {Spanish, or French}. 7

8 Ignore the “Help Buttons”, unless you need them.

9 Click “continue”. 9

10 At the top of the keyboard type your first name (or first name with last initial).

11 Click “enter”. 11

12 Click “scan”. 12

13 You will now see your image (in negative).

14 You can invert the image to ‘white’ (white page/black print), if you like.

15 Here is the positive/positive image (of a crossword puzzle).

16 Click “accept”. 16

17 Would you like to scan another image?

18 Click “ image”. 18

19 Type in your e-mail address at the top of the keyboard screen.

20 Click “send” IMMEDIATELY!!

21 A “Smiley Face” will appear on the screen.

22 Turn off the scanner first, then the computer.
