The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), (December 2015) continues the theme of equity in education. Problems with equity are manifested in success gaps between groups of students. A success gap is a difference or gap in a variety of educational factors and outcomes that affect the likelihood of educational success for some groups of students compared to their peers.
