The overdense plasma source can be used as a non-conventional ultra-intense X-ray source in soft-X domain (0.1-2 keV)  Applications to material analysis The pin-hole camera technique can be used for Cultural Heritage as a tool for X-ray fluorescence imaging The tunable EEDF, plasma density and CSD in a compact trap ensuring MHD stability is an option for working as environment for Nuclear Physics research The tunable plasma parameters are interesting for Chemistry, in particular, for polymers structure modification A patent could be derived from UTOPIA activities, other than the commercialisation of a new technique of material analysis based on a pin-hole setup. 2 2

10 Assemblaggio della nuova trappola: FPT (Flexible Plasma Trap)
The Copper plasma chamber has been manufactured at LNS mechanics workshop. The magnetic system is already assembled The whole trap is being to be assembled in these weeks, completed within May. First plasma is expected within June.

MITRAS – not yet financed (Multipurpose Innovative plasma TRap for Accelerators and Synergic Applications) proposed for Fisica Nucleare e del Plasma and Applicazioni for Cultural heritage and Chemisry of polymer, like photvoltaic.
