11. Certified Revenue Cycle Specialists (CRCS): Americollect has 30 Certified Revenue Cycle Specialists who are certified by the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM). To become certified, team members must pass an exam which requires working knowledge of all areas of patient billing including federal regulations, acronyms and terms, patient access, hospital & clinic billing, and credit and collections. Before taking the exam, collectors met once a week for 24 weeks to prepare for the exam. Individuals obtaining certification must complete a 24-week course and must pass the CRCS exam.
