Outcome: increased public awareness of human rights treaties and norms
Updated outcome: a Comprehensive National Human Rights Action Plan (NHRAP) outlining the actions the government, the civil society organizations and the private sector shall take to improve the promotion and protection of human rights has been developed, was approved by a Decision of the Parliament and launched nation-wide Methods used: partnerships, transparency, participation

Transparency The NHRAP webpage – – was visited over 1,800 times 700 copies of the Baseline Study on the Human Rights Status in Moldova were printed and disseminated to most state bodies and the most active civil society organizations The draft NHRAP was sent for review to 70 NGOs Project activities were publicized through 70 newspaper articles, TV and radio broadcasts

Participation 80 persons attended the Second NHRAP Workshop
35 persons were trained on the NHRAP development methodology 180 persons attended 6 regional round tables where the methods and procedures of NHRAP development and its contents were discussed 300 persons attended the Third NHRAP Workshop

Further steps Continue supporting the Parliament and Government bodies in charge of NHRAP implementation Establish human rights focal points at central and local public administration bodies Establish a National Human Rights Education Council; develop and implement human rights education, training and promotion programs Strengthen partnerships with civil society organizations to consolidate their human rights capacities
