Lessons from Isaiah Finding God’s Will
It’s always better to be uncomfortable and in tune with the Lord than to be comfortable and out of step with God. Guzik September 3, 2017

Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts Himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Isaiah 30:19 For a people shall dwell in Zion, in Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. As soon as He hears it, He answers you.

Isaiah 30:20 And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your Teacher will not hide himself anymore, but your eyes shall see your Teacher.

Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 -For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Peter 2:15 - For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people.

Acts 16:6-7 And they went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. And when they had come up to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 …because we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again—but Satan hindered us.

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Hebrews 10:14-16 For by a single offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put My laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,”

1 John 2:20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge

1 John 2:27 But the anointing that you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in Him.

John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

1 Kings 19:12 (KJV) And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Isaiah 30:21 And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

For Our Consideration What is your view of our Heavenly Father? For you or against you? Do we believe that God allows difficulties to enter into our lives? What does abiding mean? How familiar are we with the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit? Do we have faith or fear?

Prayer Focus Thank You Father for Your great love, grace, mercy and forgiveness Thank You for speaking to us through Your Word and the Holy Spirit Thank You for another day to live, grow, and walk on with You
