1 Becoming a Champion for Christ
The Champions Creed Becoming a Champion for Christ

2 Introduction God has given all believers ability to become champions
Believers can rule over all things Nothing should be too difficult or impossible for us When we depend on God we can live a life without limitations

3 References Luke 18:27 But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, or; “I am ready for anything through the strength of Him who makes me strong.” 1 Tim. 1:12 I thank Him who has made me equal to the task, Christ Jesus our Lord

4 Ten Components of “The Champion’s Creed
I can Believe; Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Mar 9:23 Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Mar 9:24 And immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief.

5 I believe God has made me equal to the task He gave me
God will turn my impossibilities and turn them into possibilities I am more than a conqueror through Christ – Rom. 8:37 To be a champion for Christ you must believe or have faith

6 Reference Eph 1:19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength Eph 1:20 which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies,

7 2. I can Change In order to go on to be the great champion God has ordained you to be, you must be willing to go through the changes of being conformed into the image of Jesus Christ Our life in Christ consists of yielding ourselves to His transforming grace. 2Co 3:18 But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit.

8 Put on New Man This means putting on the new man, who is created after Jesus Christ and putting off the works of the flesh which are a part of our old sinful nature. Eph 4:22 For you ought to put off the old man (according to your way of living before) who is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind. 24 And you should put on the new man, who according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness.

9 3. I can be loved by God and love others
One of the key ingredients in becoming a champion for Christ is that of being able to fully receive His love into our lives. This is what gives us the freedom and liberty to grow and mature and be blessing to others. Rom 5:5 And hope does not make us ashamed, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us.

10 References Joh 13:34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. As I have loved you, you should also love one another. 35 By this all shall know that you are My disciples, if you have love toward one another. 1Jo 3:16 By this we have known the love of God, because He laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

11 4. I can forgive and be forgiven
1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Eph 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. Luk 17:3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he trespasses against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turns again to you, saying, I repent, you shall forgive him.

12 5. I can rule my thought Life
2Co 10:3 For though walking about in flesh, we do not war according to flesh. 2Co 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, 2Co 10:5 pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ;

13 Centering your thoughts
Phi 4:7 And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are right, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think on these things.

14 6. I can make a Difference Sent to be salt and light to the world
As we learn to do those things that glorify God we can make a difference in the world Have been given this generation to serve the purposes of God Est 4:14 For if you are completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house shall be destroyed. And who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for a time like this?

15 References Act 13:36 For after he had served his own generation by the will of God, David fell asleep and was added to his fathers and saw corruption. Phi 2:15 so that you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation. Among these you shine as lights in the world, Phi 2:16 holding forth the Word of Life, so that I may rejoice with you in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain.

16 7. I can accomplish Great Things
Joh 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes on Me, the works that I do he shall do also, and greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father. 8. I can stand in the midst of Adverse circumstances.

17 References Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world's rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:14 Therefore stand, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness

18 References 2Sa 23:11 And next was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. And the Philistines were gathered together into a troop, where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. And the people fled from the Philistines. 2Sa 23:12 But he stood in the middle of the ground and delivered it, and killed the Philistines. And Jehovah worked a great victory.

19 9. I can defeat the Enemy 1Jo 4:4 You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Luk 10:19 Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.

20 10. I can be a Finisher 2Ti 4:6 For I am already being poured out, and the time of my release is here. 2Ti 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Conc. God’s desire toward us is that we all become Champions for Christ.
